For all purchases of gold body jewellery

Why choose Body Matters Gold?

From our humble beginnings back in 1997 BMG has quickly become the leading force in designer body jewellery. Some call us the "Tiffany of body jewellery". We refuse to compromise our quality. This makes us different from the mainstream suppliers of gold body jewellery.

Our aim is quite simply to supply the best handmade gold body jewellery on this planet. Offering great value for money on the ranges of semi-precious and precious gemstone products.

Our company policy is - NO COMPROMISE. We put the quality of the gemstones and the hand crafting of the finished pieces above anything else. We now have on sale for you to purchase, the finest collection of the worlds most fascinating and fabulous designer body jewellery all set with REAL GEM STONES. We do not use colored glass or any other man made imitation stones.

Tamper Proof View Bag Service

So confident are we that you will fall in love with the jewellery. We offer a money back guarantee (less postage costs). Our tamper bag service enables you to see the products before completing the sale. This ensures the jewellery remains sterile should you wish to return it.

BMG recommends: Never - ever purchase body jewellery from a company offering a returns policy without a tamper bag service. You may be buying something contaminated by someone else.

Product Shortening Service

We also offer a pay postage only (£5 world-wide) shortening service to reduce the shaft length on our products – Sizing can be difficult with belly bars and other tapped end products (see measuring your pierce) If you purchase a size too big and return the item posting it within 14 days. We will shorten and re-tap (with a new thread) the returned item (usually within 48 hours). If your piercing shrinks, which often happens as it settles down. You can return the jewellery for shortening at a later date.

BMG recommends: Not to purchase gold threaded end products from companies not offering a shortening service unless you are 100% sure of your exact size, even then if your piercing shrinks it may still require shortening. Remember if you get it wrong you may be wasting your money.

Personal Service

Although our Internet presence is growing all the time, our products only appeal to a select type of person requiring the very best value for money in high quality body jewellery. This means our customer base will always remain quite small in comparison. In turn this enables us to give a more personal and professional service to our devotees. Many of our customer’s return time and time again telling us they will never buy from anyone else ever again. Over time we build up a great understanding and mutual respect with many of our customers. You will find us helpful, polite, and honest. We will not make promises we cannot keep. Feel free to call or send e-mail with your questions however trivial it may seem.

Last year saw an explosion of gold body jewellery, ever increasing amounts of 9ct gold, mass-produced items from China, Singapore, and Korea etc. There is always a market for this stuff as tempted teenagers cannot afford real gemstones and gold which is healthy for them and their piercing. At last a few select companies are beginning to produce some limited designs using 14ct nickel free gold. We have even seen a couple of nice designs which were not copied from us recently !! Unfortunately the stones where fake and cheaply set.

BMG recommends: avoid 9ct gold use in body piercings as it could damage your health and the health of your piercing.

Watch out for sharp edges

When we design a new piece we ensure that the final result will be smooth without using protruding prongs at the corners to hold the stone. This type of setting can continually get caught in clothing and eventually break off leaving the stone to work loose and fall out. Some manufactures prefer this as it cuts down the amount of gold used, enabling them to produce a cheap product. All of our stones are set firmly in place by the hand and eye skills of our expert craftsmen. No compromise is made in the amount of gold used resulting in a product that will last a lifetime and beyond. You may pay a little more for our products, but in reality you get a whole lot more.

We do not design jewellery that will cut and tear your piercing. All our products are produced with your pierce in mind, as we are experts in both body piercing and jewellery design. We understand the importance of comfort and long term wear. If you require advice on designs to suit your piercing please call or e-mail us.

BMG recommends: not to spend a lot on pronged set jeweled products, unless manufactures can offer a guarantee the coloured glass will not work loose. If you buy a genuine BMG product from any of our showcases, you will not have this problem.

Navel Dressing

The art of navel dressing. When purchasing a belly bar you should be aware of the shape of your navel. The navel tends to fall into 5 main categories.

  1. The deep round navel. If small, or if not too deep, an oval or round piece is usually best for this type of person.
  2. The large round navel. This type of person tends to have a flat ridge of flesh across the top of the navel. In general they are versatile for any piece, but triangles or heart shapes and rectangles look just fantastic.
  3. The flat navel. These are usually quite big and suitable for most designs we recommend avoiding small round pieces as they can rock from side to side making the pierce look crooked. Go for an Open Heart, Le Quad or spoil yourself with a teardrop.
  4. The deep navel with a smooth bottom i.e. deep at the top and as it gets lower there is no defining line of flesh. Sometimes a crease will be prominent from the inside moving down vertically in the centre. This type of navel is a must for a teardrop. Ovals suit for this type as well.
  5. The triangle navel: If you have a triangle shape you are the most versatile of all. Our triangle designs will look just fantastic and teardrops just a dream. Any of the designs will suit.
