In-house Jewellers
Having in-house jewellers at BMG is an important part of our future. We hope more and more of you will take advantage of this unique service. Very few jewellers have professional in-house facilities for even repair work, let alone actually making jewellery and stone setting.

Great Value - About Half The Cost Of Most Jewellers
This means at BMG we can offer a great value expert service, without the additional mark-up of putting the work out to a trade house, let alone the 2 way postage cost this adds on to your bill. In reality this means we are around half the cost of most independent jewellers.

Security - Your Piece Will Not Leave Our Shop
The additional benefit of having this all-round expertise is that your piece will not leave our premises, you can rest assured that it will not be posted, delivered or sitting in someone’s pocket waiting to be done. In the rare event that we do need to send it away such as hallmarking, you will be consulted before this happens.

Hallmarking - BMG’s Own
If we have made the piece for you it will require hallmarking - in this event you will be made aware of this. We have our own BMG hallmark.

Here at BMG Ltd we offer a fantastic bespoke jewellery service. You can have something designed and made just for you, or as a gift for someone special.

People often assume that the custom made option is just too expensive, and they don’t realise that it doesn’t need to cost the earth. Others simply just don’t know where to begin. All it takes is an idea, and it can evolve into something beautiful.    

All you need is the initial idea. This can be based on a similar item of jewellery, or come from something that has inspired you or just a great idea that you have had! Once you have the idea we will discuss this with you, and go through all of the possibilities with you.

The next step is the design. We will come up with some great design ideas with you, and refine these until you are completely happy. You will then be given preliminary quotes for your jewellery. Once a design is decided upon, a final quote will be issued. A 50% deposit will be taken before work starts, and the remaining 50% will be taken on completion.

We then move on to making your jewellery. All of the raw materials need will be either ordered in or manufactured on site. The designing and making takes on average 2-3 weeks from start to finish.

Once the jewellery is finished it can either be picked up from our shop, or sent out via insured post. Some customers like to come to us to have their jewellery fitted. The great thing about this option is that Barney (our goldsmith) will be here to make any last minute adjustments or alterations required. This will insure an accurate and comfortable fit.
